DPRK's Power
Single-minded unity is the eternal banner of victory in the Korean revolution.
Leader Kim Jong Il set it as the revolutionary philosophy of the Workers' Party of Korea and achieved the complete union of the Party, army and people with the leadership of the revolution as the core.
He said:
"As long as the Party, army and people form a harmonious whole no one can dare provoke the DPRK."
The center of this complete union is the leadership of the revolution headed by the leader, and the leadership of the revolution is the core of single-minded unity and the life and soul of the party, army and people.
Kim Jong Il elucidated that the issue of leader constitutes the kernel in the revolution and established a unique leader-centered theory that leader is the center of the popular masses and decides everything, thus clarifying the position and role of leader as the guiding intellect of the socio-political organism, the center of the life of the socio-political community and the center of leadership.
He always showed close concern over consolidating the unity of the WPK around Kim Il Sung.
He regarded it as the basic issue related to the inheritance of the revolutionary cause to maintain the political and ideological cohesion of the Party and revolutionary ranks centered on the leader and its purity through generations and wisely led the efforts to resolve the issue.
He ensured that the leader's ideological and leadership system was established and the solid unity of the revolutionary ranks was achieved around the center of leadership.
In the DPRK, constant efforts were made to ensure the center of unity and leadership generation after generation, thus laying the organizational and ideological groundwork for establishing the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Il.
The leadership system of the Supreme Commander was established in the Korean People's Army and the whole Party, the entire army and the whole society formed organizational unity with the revolutionary leadership as the core.
President Kim Il Sung's revolutionary idea, the Juche idea, constitutes the ideological basis of the complete union of the Party, army and people.
As he started the work at the WPK Central Committee, Kim Jong Il set it as his lifelong mission to model the Party, army and society on the revolutionary ideas of the President.
Having proclaimed modeling the whole of society on the Juche idea as the WPK's supreme program, he defined modeling the whole Party and the entire army on the idea as the general task in the building of the Party and army and energetically led the efforts to implement it.
In the course of this the revolutionary ranks have been imbued with the President's revolutionary idea and the Juche idea has served as the ideological basis for consolidating the single-minded unity of the Party, army and people.
All the servicepersons and people have united with the single idea of the President to ensure the invincibility of single-minded unity.
Kim Jong Il has led the efforts to imbue the Party, army and people with Songun idea in line with the requirements of the revolutionary developments so as to sublimate the single-minded unity of the revolutionary ranks.
Today in the DPRK the complete union of the Party, army and people has been consolidated on the basis of his Songun idea.
His Songun politics embodies the philosophy of revolutionary comradeship. His politics embodying the Juche idea is the politics of love of and trust in the people.
He finds his joy in that of the people and his happiness in that of the soldiers.
His comradely love is the ideological and spiritual power that unites the Party, army and people as one comrade and the decisive factor that joins the revolutionary ranks closely together.
Since the leader administers the politics of love of the army and people, he and members of society form relations of comradely love and revolutionary obligation and on the basis of this all members of society treat each other with comradely love and a noble sense of obligation.
It is the general practice in the DPRK that people sacrifice their youth and life for their comrades and take good care of orphans and old people who have no supporter like their kin.
This means that the country has turned into a grand harmonious family.
The people and servicepersons trust and follow their leader as Heaven and the sun, guarding him politically and ideologically and at the risk of their lives.
This is because they sympathize with his idea and leadership and admire his wisdom, strategy, personal qualities and noble virtue.
Songs of trust in and longing for the leader are heard throughout the country and the spirit of guarding the leader at the cost of their lives is kept deep in the hearts of servicepersons and people.
No force on earth can break the complete union of the Party, army and people in the DPRK.
The military capabilities and single-minded unity are the strength of the DPRK and its invincible weapon.
