Qassem al-Moghrabi Died A Hero

قاسم المغربى مات بطل البارحة

---Ziad Shaker elJishi, NACAZAI Chairman

Qassem al-Moghrabi, 19 years old, is a handsome young Palestinian man from Jerusalem. He decided this last Monday, September 22, 2008 to become a hero and to die in glory as a martyr for Palestine.

As he drove his father’s car, he spotted a group of Zionist pig soldiers in the distance and without hesitation drove his car straight through them injuring some 17 of them, it is possible he could not hold his anger at this sight and acted spontaneously, or that he may have planned this all along waiting for the right opportunity to execute it.

This giant of a young man did what his brothers and sisters have been doing these last few months. That is to use whatever means available to them to inflict the highest number of causalities on the Zionist enemies. The Palestinian revolution has continued to brilliantly devise the most innovative of weapons to target the usurpers of Palestine. The Jews are not safe anywhere. The bulldozer attacks had been preceded by the knife attacks so common in 1948 occupied Palestine that our people have and still carry out on a regular basis on any available Jewish target.

Indeed, the sacrifices of our people are endless, and the Palestinian youth are time-bombs waiting to explode and take with them the largest possible number of Jews.

These attacks cause many to ask questions. What is it that drives these attacks? How effective are they? What is the rationale behind them? What are their goals? To put it simply, they are driven by the love of our homeland, Palestine: that land that we feed with our flesh and blood. Are the attacks effective? Just ask the Jews. Since the al-Aqsa Intifadah in 2000 not only has Jewish settlement into Palestine slowed down but counter-immigration of Jews out of Palestine has increased as well. What are the goals of such attacks? They are to drive the Jews out of Palestine. What is the rationale behind them? The more we have them the faster our people will be free and the sooner our land will be liberated.

Those who sacrifice themselves like Qassem Al-Moghrabi know that although they may die as a single person the whole of their nation will live. By Qassem dying his whole people have lived. In essence Qassem is a the giver of life for his people and the taker of life of the aggressor who occupies his land and oppresses his people. Qassem as such is not a taker of life, rather he is a giver of life for millions who will come after him and for all their children to come.

My Arab Islamic people give great importance to martyrdom. For a shahid, as young Qassem became, our people pray to Allah that his righteous soul may be granted paradise. It is by the blood and resistance of the victorious mujahadeen, sons and daughters of our land of Al-Aqsa, that Palestine shall remain Arab forever and ever.
