A Reading of "Saddam Hussein: Hero of Iraq" by Richard T. Osborne

--- John Paul Cupp, Public Relations Director of the North American Committee Against Zionism and Imperialism (NACAZAI) and the European-American Socialist People's Front (EASPF)

Having been an admirer of the martyred President Saddam Hussein for many years, I decided to purchase "Saddam Hussein: Hero of Iraq," because it was only a few dollars in today's difficult economy. I was excited by the idea that another nationalistic European-American, the author Richard T. Osborne, had written it.

Unlike me, Osborne seems to be very anti-leftist. However, this doesn't generally stop him from being objective, scholarly or anti-imperialist in this book. On certain levels, Osborne's populist White racialist and nationalist approach actually allows him to write in a way to which average Westerners can relate, which is something the left often fails to do. The author seems to want to show the average American that Saddam was never against America or was ultimately their friend, but that the evil treasonous Jewish Zionists always subverted this possible friendship. I would agree with that approach completely. However, such a line must presuppose that we are talking about the American people rather than their imperialistic government, because otherwise it might seem as if Saddam Hussein "was an American puppet" as lying cosmopolitan scum regularly state.

Unlike the mainstream anti-war movement, the author is willing to tackle the reactionary nature of Jewish power and social roles. Osborne explains that the war of aggression against Iraq has far more to do with the Zionist entity being in the expansion business, than about oil. He neither minces words when referencing "vicious Jews" and their aggression in the world today, nor is he afraid to mention that today's Jews are a fraud and have no historical claim to the Zionist entity. I have some differances with the author's religious approach on the matter, while respecting that many comrades in the Christian Identity movement, such as Osborne, are an important part of our revolutionary liberation struggle.

Osborne shows many examples and traits of what a truly repressive leadership is like, and then shows tangible examples of Saddam's leadership being extremely popular and progressive. He tells us about many towering accomplishments Saddam made as a leader and about his principled solidarity with Palestine as a Pan-Arabist. He demonstrates the historically mediocre and even reactionary nature of the Communist Party of Iraq and of their front man Kassem, and why the Ba'ath was much better. This seems even more obvious today as we look at the mainstream Communist Party of Iraq participating in the imperialist occupation of their own country.

The author shows how Saddam worked hard to make a just peace with the Kurds, despite lying Jew media claims to the contrary. More importantly, he shows that the claim "Saddam gassed the Kurds" is a myth. He is not shy about showing the legitimate grievences Iraq had against Iranian misbehavior  or that the Zionist entity backed Iran against Iraq.

Osborne tackles a whole series of popular myths and imperialistic Jew-lies about Iraq's leader in very clear and easily understood ways. As Saddam Hussein was still alive at the time of this book, alive at the time this book was written, Osborne calls for him to be returned to power as the true legitamite leader of Iraq, and closes by proclaiming Saddam Hussein a hero and inspiration for us all.

This book was exciting to read, only 33 pages, but packed with useful information. I'm glad I purchased it. I believe many of our NACAZAI readers will enjoy this book very much. It is becoming somewhat difficult to find, but can be found and is definately worth the effort.
